Gallery of Living History Thanks Coventry University for Support

The Gallery of Living History (GoLH) worked with Coventry University’s students to bring history to life in different ways and from different perspectives in the first phase of its launch.

The initial kick-off of this project was a seminar by Andy Serkis, who explained the concept of GoLH and challenged the students to come up with ideas for projects in video, audio, augmented and virtual reality, performance and more to animate the plinth and the broader GoLH in different ways.

A second seminar centred on Humanities students, who then worked with the school children who submitted entries to the Schools’ Competition, to refine their ideas. The Humanities students developed responses to the runners-up concepts for the schools’ competition.
